You know how after you finish a big project, you're completely exhausted? You have other work to do, but you can't seem to get into it?
I was in that space this past week. But I was forced to stop obsessing about not doing work yesterday when I had to go for a routine check-up. My lovely mother-in-law took me as my car needed some work and had to be kidnapped by the boy who took it to the car guy. I didn't want to drive the library on wheels (the boy's car is huge) so I opted to be a baby instead for the day.
Mother-in-law is here for the weekend. Things are sorta relaxed. So, naturally, this morning when sleeping in, I have a series of short, dramatic and intense dreams. I wake up full of ideas. When washing my face I remember something from 10 years ago and laugh. Then realise it's a story.
Without my glasses even on (couldn't find them in time) I started scribbling in my notebook. I haven't read it over, but I will work on it tonight.
I have a few deadlines coming up that I would have scoffed at as an undergrad, but I think I have grown up and am taking things a bit more seriously now. I have a big essay to write on Rhyll McMaster and am gearing up for that. And two other short stories, which I am a bit less worried about.
I hope you have a great weekend, my dears, and have a bit more fun than me :)

I am so in that space at the moment, and it doesn't seem to be wearing off. This essay is driving me insane - I've barely recovered from finishing the book, the last thing I want to do is write a bloody essay on it. WAAAH! :P
Hope you had a fun weekend in the end :)
